Dreamers dream...
Date : Friday, February 12, 2010
Dreams have been a mystery to us since we were given life. The stuff of legends, myth and fairy tale, dreams have always fascinated mankind.

We can learn much from our dreams, if we only but listen with a trained ear. There is nothing psychic about understanding dreams. There is a certain degree of intuition, coupled with logic and a working knowledge of dreaming involved though.

Our brains are in constant activity. Different states of consciousness cause different brain wave activity. Our conscious mind, or the part we think with, our "window" into life, only takes up a very small portion of our brain activity.

Another area controls imagination. This area is widely an undiscovered frontier. Imagination is more then dreaming of a new car or picturing someone with their cloths off! When you look at clouds and see shapes, or wood grain and see images, this is the part of your imagination.

Enough of that, now let's get to what I actually wanted to discuss. First of all, I'm no psychic or anything and this has happened to me several times throughout my years after my 13th birthday?!

Some of my dreams? They actually came true. Most of the time it only happens one month or a few weeks after I've had that dream. It's like "deja vu" all over again. It depends what kind of a dream it is. If it was about a certain place or a certain someone or even items that you have seen before.

If it was more of a conceptual dream, which this sounds like it might be, then it means that your subconscious was telling you that you like him/her, basically, and you should go to him/her and confess your true feeling. It might even be purely coincidence that you ended up together.

When I was younger, I was always terrified when this happened. I could not understand why I was having dreams like these. Knowing what is going to happen in the future can be somewhat terrifying.

In time I met a lot most marvelous people who had the same gift as me and taught me not to fear them. Sure, there would be bad dreams but also a lot of good. I would not always understand why I have precognitive dreams but do not block them out. They were given to you for a reason. Maybe a higher calling? Study your dreams and you will learn a lot from them. In time, you will learn how to control your dreams (lucid dreaming <>) and you will learn to love life more than you ever thought you could.

The weird thing about this is that I always seem to forget what I had dreamt about. Forget it until that very moment when it's supposed to happen. Whatever it is, try to embrace this gift. Try and remember what your dream was about. Even write it in a notebook, your personal diary or some place where you can access it easily.

Sometimes I even think I can prevent something from happening to someone close to me. I dreamt of when my friend fell into the drain. If I recall, it was 3 years ago? or maybe even 4 and the funny thing is he actually fell into the drain. Stepped on a rotten fruit or something then slipped and fell.

Well, there's nothing much I can do about these stuff. If it's destined to be then IT WILL definitely happen. Good luck you guys in remembering every one of your dreams.

Cheers!

P.S - Hi guys! I'm the newest addition to the team! My name's Matthew Lau Chern Hin. Just call me Matthew or whatever... ^^
